Background
Sustainable Motivation is a project being undertaken on behalf of UNEP who are concerned that for all the available information about sustainable production and consumption, progress in implementation appears to be painfuly slow. The project aims to identify what motivates people to take the actions necessary and how to maintain that motivation. The ideas and statements expressed in this project do not necessarily reflect the views of the United Nations Environment Programme

Sustainable Motivation is a collaborative project which needs the participation of any individual or organisation that is concerned about sustainable production and consumption. Please review the project profile to see the aims of the project.

In particular, please register your interest so that we may communicate with you, especially if we have any questions or wish to seek your views on any aspect relating to the project.

Also, we are seeking existing evidence of the behaviour of consumers or corporate buyers and motivations towards sustainability, so if you or your organisation have undertaken any research or review of this subject, we would be grateful to hear about it - go through the submit information section. This would be very helpful as it will enable us to avoid duplication of effort as we undertake new research to understand behaviour.
